Perfect. Top two point scorers in the league meet this week and I have AP and Shank on a bye. I guess a cool goal would be to try and lead the league in scoring and not make the playoffs. 1. Leaders O'Cola 7-1-0 .875 751.00 2. Christmas Handshake 6-2-0 .750 817.30 3. Spanksters 6-2-0 .750 678.38 4. Failin Palins 5-3-0 .625 794.52 5. Poopship Destroyers 5-3-0 .625 786.40 6. Misfit Toys 5-3-0 .625 683.86 7. Fuzzy Skwirls 4-4-0 .500 801.94 8. DoodiusMaximus 4-4-0 .500 656.34 9. Penis Party 3-5-0 .375 660.08 10. Dystopian Solutions 2-6-0 .250 626.48 11. sTlrKill@h 1-7-0 .125 712.28 12. Darla 0-8-0 .000 668.04 who wants to do a statistical analysis of average score, stdev, and 95% CI of beating opponent that week and see how it correlates to the actual W/L ? I think a nice statistical analysis would be interesting but..... I'm still firmly in the "it is all in the luck of the draw" crowd on FF. I was basically in the same position, points-wise, last year and won the regular season. And one off week in the playoffs killed me.

ps, I crafted my roster , of course without knowing what injuries would happen and so forth, such that I would have 4 or 5 of my main starters on a bye the same week for a reason. chalking up 1 week as a probably L isntead of sweating 2 or 3 is far less stressful, imho.
That's a strategy I've heard before but it kind of handcuffs you on the players available. I think I'd rather have 4-5 superior players spread out over 2 or 3 byes than 4-5 who happen to be from the same bye weekend. It's definitely easier on the roster decisions though.

Actually, I've been thinking about this and I would like to set up a league similar to how the Premier League Fantasy game is done. You could set it up as a total points or actually team vs. team every week. This takes some of the luck out and puts more rewards on being able to pick the best players. It also eliminates the advantages/disadvantages of the draft at the beginning of the year. Everyone starts on equal footing and has access to all players.

I didn't worry about bye weeks other than QBs because the roster is so big we can hoard players. In another league you carry only 4 wr/te and start 3. bye weeks matter. Carry 4 rbs start two. You must carry two K and Def and QB on your roster at all times only starting one of each. It's interesting who has to get dropped. I picked up Calvin Johnson and dropped Santonio Holmes then dropped Calvin for Percy Harvin. The free agent pool is broader. At first I didn't like it but now I like the roster set up.

Well crap, my perfect record went into the toilet. Someone (Stroh) let me whip them last week. What is up with that. I was perfectly happy on having 0 wins, now I might actually have to try and win another game.

You know you don't have to start players on a Bye, right? And that you can pick up Free Agents to replace losers on your team? I don't think Larry Johnson or Joey Galloway are even on a team these days.

I procrastinated all week, and then we had to leave early on Sunday (had no interest on a Queens bye week anyway) Sometime in the afternoon, around 3:30 I had one of those Aw *fudge*! moments, remembering I had neglected my lineup. Didn't pick any games in the other deal either, so I got that goin' for me as well.
