oh, and it was between 40-45* , and the sun came out about 1/2 the time more importantly, there was a constant 1club wind that often gusted to 2-3 clubs, often right when i was trying to tee off   |

wow, great pics. I love the shot of the eagle attempt from ground level. No rounds for me this weekend , but I just got back from the range. 40-45* brrr, that's a bummer. |

thanks  all this time at the par 3 and pitch n putt has really showed me, golf IS a game that's (at least at the average 'hacker' level all about the 7 or 8 iron down to the putter. sure, if you slice every driver off the tee, etc... you are gonna shoot 100+. but if you put a driver or hybrid or whatever somewhere in play, and consistently hit your approach shots somewhere* close to the green... you can score ok. hitting it 300 yards doesnt mean anything if you then fat your iron, then skull it over the green, then fluff it on and 3 putt |

I carded a 7 on it last time. I think the water gets in my head. #8 is Baaab's nemesis hole too. I think he moved to AZ just to avoid playing it. #3 is mine. The water gets in my subconscious and I push the shot huge. I'm usually over on #9 fairway and sometimes completely across it, LOL. Yesterday, I conquered my fear only to thin the ball slightly. Great line but it caught the 12" bank on the pond. No splash but stayed in the hazard. One foot high or right and it would have found land and rolled forever. Dropped and played third from maybe 75 yards in front of the tee. Double bogey as usual. |
