Ignore User now in Beta

I just installed the "Ignore User" mod for this forum. It had some problems so I made some changes to it (and possibly broke all kinds of thiings)
If you want to try it out, go to:
Profile->Ignore user options
One major change that I made was that when you're ignoring a user, the mod worked like the "Block" feature on FGI. You would still see evidence of a person's post in a thread including their avatar, essentially an empty post, but with a message saying the user is blocked, and a link to unblock them.
I tried taking it a step further and not even showing that the person has posted in the thread. (I still can't get around the problem of other people quoting an ignored person, though)
Also, if an ignored person updated a thread, it should not display the thread as new on the front page or any of the "unread posts" links.
This is really just a first attempt at it, I'm sure there will be changes, so let me know if things don't work or you would like things changed.

Seriously, tried out the little red X below you and it worked the tread and you disappeared. Took me a couple of seconds to figure out how to get you back.

Wow, you're right, that's funny. I hadn't tried ignoring a thread creator while in a thread, that's pretty powerful. It'll probably need some tweaking if people use it, but it's been something I've been meaning to add to the forum ever since this thread.  |

Never used it at the other forum but did think about it about it once or twice. Thought I'd give it a test and when you and the thread left I knew I had crossed the point of which there might be no return and knowing ignoring our leader would not be a good thing! |

Oops, I was testing things out and left some folks on ignore (TFT and EagleOne). Sorry about that. I didn't realize there was an ignore stat in everyone's profile. That's funny. There's actually an option to allow you to see which members are currently ignoring you, but it's probably best to leave that option off. I screwed up and didn't have the ignore image in the correct place before, so now it's showing up properly. It's a little big and obtrusive, I'll scale that down and make it more subtle. |
