What did you get up to, this weekend!!!

It was a long weekend here!!!!! The Queens Birthday!!!  I had three days of golf in a row!!! I played well (we have club championships coming up next weekend!!!  ) Russell and I watched Forrest Gump on dvd, I haven't seen that movie in year's, and I really enjoyed watching it again. (I also love the soundtrack). |

Sat: hit a few motorcycle dealerships, family time, and did some electrical tinkering.
Sun: one-on-one time with the young one, then had another family over for a cookout.

1. Built intricate scale models of Windsor Castle and burned them.
2. Sang "The Fields of Athenry" until they kicked us out.
3. Shouted "God Save Liz" in a mocking, somewhat derogatory, fashion.
4. Ate grass until our mouths turned green.
5. Called TFT and hung up - twice.
Didn't know it was the queen's birthday though.

5. Called TFT and hung up - twice.
I knew that was you. I hung up first the second time though. Okie Dust Bowl was on Saturday, great fun. 14 of us, including Walfredo and Golfer Ray, good shape course, beer, pub, beer, restaurant (with family) and more beer. Then sleeeep. Up next morning at 11 and went to pub by lake for more beer. Hard times. |

Friday: Watched some movies (Smokin' Aces- 2 stars, Stranger than Fiction- 3.5 stars)
Saturday: spent money on accessories for the MINI and then crashed my brother's birthday dinner
Sunday: back breaking labor in the yard followed by broiled steaks (see the WTF is wrong with people? thread for more details) at mom and dad's place

Where are the photo's!!!!! The only ones taken were on something called 'film'. Golfer Ray said he was bringing a digi camera so nobody else bothered. Ray lied though. |

I've sorta been completely out of crochet projects since the 6th (okay, the 6th wasn't all that long ago, but still long enough). Sorta being that I have one more I could do, but I don't need it until the last week of December, and it takes less than a week to complete. Since I didn't have a project to help fill my weekend, I had to find other things to do. Saturday started with picking up the groceries that we buy in bulk once a month, then putting it all away. After that, I read a couple chapters of a book, completed a Sunday School lesson, went for a bike ride of sorts, and shot several rounds of archery, though not consecutively or in that order. Oh, and I helped around the house, too. Sunday I wasn't well most of the day so I sat around being almost no help, though at one point I did try to help. Watched a bit of golf, flipping to nascar during commercials, went out to watch the kids bike, took a nap in the car from 3-4, stayed there hoping to fall back asleep until my dad needed to go somewhere, went inside and turned on the tv (news, documentary of sorts that I've seen before) while resting/sleeping intermittently, then watched more news. Very boring. |

lol, mostly.  No, not really. I could go to my room and shut the door. But yesterday was the first really nice day (i.e. in the 80º+) we've had for a while, and I didn't want to go in. |

Friday - don't recall, must have involved too much alcohol. Saturday - played golf, had some dinner with friends, I came down with a nasty sinus headache, then watched our friends cover band play. The pills must have worked as it turned into a late nighter. Sunday - skipped golf!  Was too sick and it was raining. Sat around the house miserable - finally gave in and took some drugs. Then dinner and a movie (Pirates 3) with some friends. Still miserable today - left work early, just woke up from a nap, and my head is completely stopped up. Headache still lingers, throat sore from breathing thru my mouth as I slept (nasal passage completely blocked), found out the pills I took were expired, its plenty cool in here but I'm breaking into a sweat - this is not good. I need a hug. |
