Roth has to stop throwing high passes.  They're either incomplete or intercepted.

Steelers D is playing better against the run.  Their tackling SUCKS, though.  It takes at least three of them to get Fred Taylor down.

Steelers O started out with some good quick passing.  I would have thought they'd plan on the Jags reacting to it and have some sort of backup plan, but the backup seems to be to keep running them (and not be able to throw the ball, as the target is getting seriously bumped right off the line) or let Big Ben get sacked/pressured fairly quickly.  On that latter point, I disagree with Madden that Roth is holding the ball too long; I think defenders are just getting to him faster than as is the norm.  In that sense, perhaps, he IS holding on too long, but it's not like he's frozen back there.

Temps in the 30s, coupled with rain, kills the PIT passing attack.  And they just don't have the rush personnel that matches up well against JAC.  Bad juju.

I'm not one to complain about officiating, but my god!  The low block on Russell on the INT run back for a touchdown?  He was trying to tackle the guy with the ball!  That's the THIRD time PIT has been hit wrongly with that particular oddball penalty in the last three seasons.  And on the third INT, you can clearly see Roth in the background of the replay, a defender closing another step and a half to slam into him and take him down.  Official right there watching it start to happen, then looks away at the guy who intercepted ... and doesn't toss a flag for the roughing that he was supposed to be watching for before he became a spectator.  Toss in the obvious late hit  -- OB, no less -- on Ward in the first drive, and I'm less than impressed with the zebras tonight.
