Weekend project

Putting up an electric fence to keep the dogs from digging and eating their way out the wood fence. Got the posts mounted. will have to remove some chicken fence and run the wire tomorrow. One more stop at Homedespot and I should be ready to lay on the charge to those escape artists.

That's easy. Go to Ubuntu dot com and download the iso file. Burn it to CD.

If the computer is connected via cable vs. wireless it is a lot easier to connect to the interwebs.

Does that mean that chat doesn't work in IE?

What about Opera?  http://www.opera.com/download/
It would be faster to install opera and try it than make a Ubuntu cd

I'm sorry Dys...I saw you're reply last night as I was wandering off to the land of nod, and I forgot about it, I did turn off the 'puter last night though. For some reason I uninstalled IE when I first bought this PC (Xmas '06), this PC did not like IE7 and was not operating properly. People had been raving about Firefox, so I just did a fresh install and it works fine, except for this little thing.

The funny thing is, I can see them chatting but when I type in I see what I've typed but they don't see what I've typed (except for that first instance as soon as I enter), and NO I don't have the font on white, and NO I don't need my daughters to teach me how to chat.

I'll try opera or ubuntu whichever is easier.

Myself, I'm hoping to go for a ride (except rain is predicted through Sunday).  And I have to work -- last-minute thing dumped on me this morning with a short, lit fuse.

Invisible fence?  I'm going to try to build some sort of blade out of a piece of angle iron (2" by about 6" by about 7" long) to bolt to his tractor to cut a narrow furrow for the wire. (That was one hell of a long sentence!)  We have about 2000 feet of wire to bury.  Dumb *feces* Jack Russell puppies. Devil

Nope, exposed live wire. When they hit it they will know. They will learn that buzzing sound means pain. I plan on hooking up a coil from a car, juice that puppy up to 20,000v. Little bastards won't go near the fence. And neither will the dogs.
