Not bad for a team that at one point accumulated a Top 2 pick from the entry draft for 4 straight seasons. that's called long term strategy but what do you expect them to do when they're down? there's no big TV money, and no luxury boxes/etc in the archaic stadium-- certainly no position to rebuild with massive free agent signing...... even though there's sellouts now and long lines for season tickets, they're not really raising rates much--yet. pretty nice job rebuilding in the truest sense, and now reaping the rewards. when the new stadium opens they'll have the roster to raise prices for tickets, and they'll definitely still be selling out. the tv revenue will still stink though |

interesting to see too, how that process is working against philly's - rebuild in 1 year with massive signing spree approach (that said, mad props to the flyers for going worst to 2nd in one year) |
