I figure out that it was deleted just curious what the topic was as I couldn't cypher the description -- got to remember I'm from Mississippi and we are a little slow there.

The topic was 'why was the thread locked?'
Which was then unlocked.
I just went and looked, and you have already posted in the torpedoed thread, that was the one.
So that's where it came from.
spaceage said Torpedo was an annoying lil bugger, or summat. Most people agreed that he was annoying. Prof said torp was a kid and inane and that prof was cool as chit and a prof.
Someone said Christmas spirit.
Then I said Humbug, bitches.
That's the last i saw.
It got moderated the FGI out of there.
Kin flip flopping farkers.

I figure out that it was deleted just curious what the topic was as I couldn't cypher the description -- got to remember I'm from Mississippi and we are a little slow there. A thread got locked after it was Torpedo'ed. Ringer then started a thread asking why it got locked. (Not that he was even involved in the original thread or the lock, but isn't it fun to stir the pot?) Then a person or two made some not so nice comments about the post-worthiness of one or more other persons. spaceage said Torpedo was an annoying lil bugger, or summat. Most people agreed that he was annoying. Prof said torp was a kid and inane and that prof was cool as chit and a prof.

That's the last i saw. Spaceage was kidding, if he even said that. Prof did throw some crap, but he recanted and made a quasi-apology. (Prof didn't say anything about prof. FWIW, prof has/is going through some very serious personal *feces* the past few weeks, so I'm more than willing to cut him some slack on the judgmental front.)

I don't think spacey was kidding, he was saying he found the torpedoing annoying. In a day or two he will wake up and tell us, probably. I stand by what I posted above, read between the lines for (added) effect. prof quoted a post and added bolded parts to it. He's the first to admit he sucks pole at the net. He bolded bits about torp being a kid and added a bit where he was a prof with a (yeah) in bold. After that I humbugged biatches and that was it for me. If he withdrew it must have been just before the whole thing was deleted.

Thanks - I knew I had posted the torpedo'd thread and guess I missed Ringers. I think we had a thread like that right after the FGIM showed. Thought the resolution was that Torp could locate them from time to time just don't flood the clubhouse with them but turned out others torpedo'd several threads -- I guess to test the FGIM. For one, I don't mind them being torped from time-to-time.
Appreciate the insight.

prof quoted a post and added bolded parts to it. He's the first to admit he sucks pole at the net. He bolded bits about torp being a kid and added a bit where he was a prof with a (yeah) in bold. It was close to: Give the kid ( true) a break, will ya, prof? ( yeah) I'm fairly good at deciphering the terse posts, and especially his posts. He was agreeing that his first comment was a little over the line, IMFO. Personally, I find dead-thread-resurrections annoying. There are enough current threads flying off Page 1 (or Page 2) without bringing up old ones that aren't immediately relevant (the preseason NFL picks thread is an example of a good, timely resurrection). But my personal opinion and my professional opinion are separate matters.
