I think I may have contributed a little to distributing some Leathermans out there. I was looking for groomsmen gifts last year and searched FGI for ideas and I think Persimmon and QCngn suggested Leathermans. After realizing that "leatherman" didn't mean what I thought from those two, I went out and bought a few. I think "leatherman tool" is the more disturbing "gift" to be giving. Or receiving.

I prefer something with a little more stopping power.
Crap for undoing screws though.

Those jamboks are cool.
Nrxt time I'm attacked by cardboard target men or melons, or even guys in slow motion (that were dumb enough to attack someone holding that thing in the first place) I will be wishing I had one.
Or more.

Yes.
Really? Care to expound? For now, it's just a 2 1/2" single blade knife. However, I'm thinking of getting a small Swiss Army Knife to carry around instead because I'd hate to accidentally lose the one that I'm carrying now. (It was my grandfather's.)

I have a small Trapper style knife that's only about 1/1/2" long. I carry it all the time.
