If you start smoking at a party, I can absolutely guarantee that within five minutes everyone else will be smoking too. And what makes this even worse than being made to stand outside is that they will be smoking yours.
Since the smoking ban, no one has given up the tabs. They’ve just given up buying them, and this is the most annoying thing in all of human history. And that *feces* is expensive! 7 bucks a pack here in The Peoples Republic, and probably going up! There are, as I see it, only two solutions. Either the government can come clean and admit that without the tax revenue from smokers, the NHS would be finished. Or, to level the playing field, it can ban smoking completely.
Apparently, such a move is being considered right now in Finland. Though we shouldn’t pay too much attention to the outcome because when a Scandinavian is forced to give up the tabs, he will simply revert to the region’s second-favourite pastime: committing suicide.

No *feces*, this last weekend I can't tell you how many times I was asked for a cig. outside. After a while I just started telling people "Know what man, I just had to buy this one myself." Oh, 'cause that's the thing, they want to "buy a cig." from you.
They were all dudes too, or I would have gone with 2i's "I'll give you a goatee" response. Count on it.
7 bones? Damn. Running around 5.20 to 5 .35 around here, but I have decided to support the terr'ists and buy them from the ay-rab guy at the smoke shop from now on. Mucho El Cheaper-o.

Our no smoking in any building law goes into effect here in May I think. You can't smoke in a bar but you can in a casino. Who says the mafia is dead.
Cigs are about 6 bucks here, doesn't matter who you buy them from. It's all about taxes. That's what finally made me quit. They slapped a 1.50 on a pack so I said *fudge* them and started mail ordering them from Kentucky. Then they started subpoenaing records from outta state sellers so they could collect the taxes and I said that's it, I quit.

The price is one thing. It's the guy at the office who's been borrowing 2 or 3 a day since he "Quit" a year or so ago. It's the principal as much as anything, although New Years Eve 2003 I went through a pack in about 2 hours at BiL #2's house with his relatives who had all 'Quit'. |

If I'm at work and head downstairs for a smoke I only take one with me because I know that some tight arse is gonna ask me for one.
I got tired of them making me feel guilty if I didn't give them one.
If I do happen to have a pack with me and someone asks me for a smoke I usually give it some: "there's a newstand over there, go buy your own!"... unless of course she's really cute then I might give her one,.... then maybe a cigarette.
