First round of the year....god am I sore

Hooked it up with 360flip, tweedbreed and another friend at University.
We all play pretty well for the first go at it this year. Temperature got near freezing the last several holes but great time. None of us had played since last October with only 360/Tweed managing range sessions since.
I was a bit late but figured it'd be fun to not hit any balls and rock it Cold Squad style....two practice swings on the tee to add to the 6 I took in my yard the day before. LOL We played from whites at 6176.....course was a bit soggy and the cold damp air made it play pretty long though I used 3w most of the day. Needless to say, expectations were really really low.
Anyways, shot a 42 front when it was reasonably warm. Adjusted poorly to the giant temperature drop after the sun set and the fog started rolling in and dumped 3 or 4 shots into bunkers for a lame 44 on the back....should have been better, coulda been alot worse if not for some ball luck. I'm not that good, so that was a pretty decent round.
Most of all, felt #@#$ing great to play golf again! Clubhaus had a dinner special. Lobster Bisque, Braised Duck and dessert for $15! Woot!

nice going. snowing here today and my back is screwed again. best I could do golf-wise is to glue up some FW woods and turn some ferrules half-assedly. I know you won't like that last part  |

Thank you everyone.  Was nice to play and to not completely stink! The dinner was mad city-wide promo called Dine Out Vancouver where a bunch of ritzy restaurants offer relatively inexpensive meals as an introduction to fine dining to the cheap and the poor. Yum yum quack quack. 360 hit driver pretty well and played some stretches of solid golf. I think his game's going to come around this year. Please all....mind your ferrules. |

I once saw a collage of them nailed around the perimeter to various ornate boards. Whatever you gotta do to make'm stand out I guess. |
