Lovely big boxes.
« on: February 13, 2007, 11:55:56 AM »

I need to send some clubs out from the Pay It Forward Thread.

I usually have loads of boxes hanging around and wasn't worried or wanting to mess with the arctic outside last week much.

At the end of the week I looked for boxes and the only stuff I have will not fit a driver, must have had irons or putters in, the shame.

Outraged and wearing pants I asked around for boxes.

A friend checked his stuff and brought some today, too small for a driver!!!!one1!!

I cordially punched him in the throat for his troubles and vowed to move on.

So I have 3 questions....

1.  What bugger stole my boxes?

2.  Can I get that kind of size (Drivers) from the Post Office?

3.  Is Buffy hotter than that bird from Alias?

1. probably libs
2. I don't think I've ever seen the right sized box for a driver at the P.O. have you thought about asking your local golf store? Mine frequently has piles of boxes they are happy to give to me as they generally just load them into the dumpster.
3. Movie Buffy, Alias chick, TV Buffy. In that order.

I need to go to the Post Office to send them so I was hoping they had them there.

If they do that then I can just send the stuff with her indoors and she can do it for me so I don't have to get cold.

However, she will not do a 2-center golf related mission as easily or without some kind of sparkly gift.

1.  Samuri is hoing a lot of stuff lately so I'd start there.

2.  Doubt it, I actually had a post office near me say they would NOT ship something driver size.  This after I've shipped at least 20 clubs in the same size boxes from the same PO.  Idiots I tell you.

3.  Buffy the Vampire slayer?  If so, the movie version or tv?  Either way, they are both hotter than the Alias chick IMO.

Go to a box and ship store and kill two birds with one stone.

Epoxy will provide a better bond.  Don't use shims, unless you want to die and/or kill others.

The long golf boxes would be best.
But I have seen golf clubs sent in the post, wrapped in the really thick, heavy duty bubblewrap, and tubes, the light weight ones that you get from the hardware store, the type that plumber's use!!!!

The good thing about getting old, is that you can hit the ball out of sight.

Place a 2x2 in with the club, wrap them in bubble wrap, then cocoon that bitch in string tape.

It's obviously junk you don't want, or you wouldn't be giving it away.  It should be treated as such, with little regard given to the intended recipients...after all they are getting free stuff.  Just slap a shipping label on the bare shaft Love and hope it gets there in one piece.

Order 50 pieces of Brighton Rock and you're set for life.

Do you want me to just come up there and get it myself?

How about you take something of mine. I will ship it in a box big enough.

And I have had wild dreams of Buffy and Willow doing nasty things to the Charmed Ones

If the weather was better that could be a plan but there's not much good play around right now.

I will go look for something tomorrow.
