WTB: Mentor Sports Duet
« on: February 14, 2007, 07:13:31 PM »

Okay, I know we don't have a swap shop here (yet), but I thought I'd give it a try. I've been thinking I'd like to try a Mentor Sports Duet (had a Triad for a while, and was very impressed but just couldn't adjust to its size), but my wife will KILL me if I spend a ton of money on another putter. Soooo I thought I'd see if any of you bitches have one that you're not using you'd let go at a golfhos "buddy price." (Not looking to get it for free, mind you, just less than the "going rate"  Wink.)

Loooong shot, I realize, but it never hurts to ask.

It is not advisable, James, to venture unsolicited opinions. You should spare yourself the embarrassing discovery of their exact value to your listener.

Thanks for the heads up, but I think his asking price puts it well into "my wife will kill me" range. I think I'll probably just have to wait. My birthday's not too far off.

I understand.  I love my Duet so much I wouldn't sell it.  I don't see them up for sale too often especially for cheap.

Maybe with the Maestro coming out soon more will be available.

Maybe Chin will give you his belated Christmas discount and you can justify the purchase that way.

I think I'll probably just watch Ebay. They show up every now and again, and they don't seem to have enough word of mouth to sell for nearly what they're worth. Meanwhile people are bidding $200-$300 on a Scotty Cameron grip or headcover. Ignorant savages.  Roll Eyes
