The grandkids will be here in an hour or so. Still Friday evening for us.  Building a compost bin with the boys and cutting the lawn tommorrow am with the boys. They love to drive the tractor (I have complete control, and they are belted to me and the seat.) G-daughter will likely want to go back to the stable to visit the horses. They will want to watch television that we don't have available (no cable or sattelite), so..... I'll take them to the nature preserve across the road for a long walk with the dogs. |

We've talked about some things. A festival here, and there(bands, beer, rides, etc.) but nothing concrete. Golf in unlikely.  It's still very early on Friday afternoon, and history has taught me not to plan too far past the next beer. We'll see. We/I are pretty booked for the next 5 weekends(work, seminar, wedding, work, etc) so this will be the last "free" one for a while. |

last night, hit the downtown bars, woke up today at 1pm. tonight, goin to a house party. tomrrow night, going to a casino. sunday, going to the beach and kayaking.  |

I built my compost bin last weekend.
My wife just left for a weekend yoga retreat, so I've got the young one for the weekend. We just got back from a bike ride (me on the bike, spawn in the trailer). Then I put a video on and spent the next 20 minutes chundering (the funky soup I nuked for lunch had a chemical taste, which isn't unusual considering I work for a chemical company; after the second taste, though, it was just getting fouler and I threw it out; taste stayed in my mouth for a good while thereafter, though).
Tomorrow, "we" are thinking of driving out to the zoo. Spawn has never been to one.
Sunday, the usual manly brunch, followed by hardware and DIY stores and then a picnic lunch at my work. Nothing wows the little one better than playing on the machines in our fitness room.

At this point of my life I don't "do" anything.
Life just sorta happens to me. Every now and again I'm actually involved in the process.
I'm hoping it throws a mellow buzz, a few rugby matches and maybe a BBQ london broil at me. That would be nice. If it throws a backyard lawn mowing I'll try to duck and let it hit my son. I'm kinda slow though.

11:00 am Miami visits Norman to get their ass kicked in the rain so I'll be watching that at my friends with the boy. Wife is going to the game with her father. She isn't too pleased with the forecast. Not sure how you they'll play football if it rains 3" during the game. Then I'll continue to watch football and my son the rest of the weekend. Good times.    |

6 year old has tackle football game today at 1100. Funniest thing in the world is trying to watch 5 year olds tackle when they can barely hold up their heads b/c of the weight of the helmet.
11 year old football game today at 4:00...working in the yard this evening.
Sunday...will have to wait and see how much rain we get from Gabrielle.
