#1065 is awesome - great shots, in general, but that one is just beautiful. Love that you can see the expression on the bear's face, that plus the framing from the grasses/wildflowers.

When it was on its hind legs, several of us thought it was over 6 ft and perhaps up to 7 ft tall. I was ducking back into the car when it walked onto the road. Got back up in time to get the hind end shot. Got closer than I ever thought it would. |

I've been very close to a black bear. 'Course, it was dead. I won't say why, but you could probably figure it out. I will say bear is good eatin', though. One of my faves actually. |
