I Hit This One Dude's Driver.....

Now I gotta have one.  It's some King Cobra deal.  I'm not sure of the model, but I'll know it again when I see it.

We're playing along last night, and I'm spraying the ball all over.  He says 'You should try this one.  Since I got it, all it does is go left.  I have to fight to keep it from hooking sometimes, but normally it's a sweet long draw.'  Now I've played with him before, and know he's plenty capable of the big banana or, more like me a dead straight push right, out of play.
So, I say ok, having done this drill several times.

Par 4, out of a chute, big landing area, but can be intimidating, and often lose one right, trying to hard.
POW!  Straight up the gut, easy draw.  Hmmmm........

Next we step up on my nemesis hole.  Long par 4.  *feces* all the way down the right.  In fact I normally play it with a bunt layup 4 wood.  He hands me the stick.  POW!  Laser up the left hand side.  I never even knew there was grass on that side of the course.

Next hole.  I decide to play with it.  Pow, ripped up the left side, and drawing into the trees.  WTF???  He says' You don't have to fight it like you've always done.  Just swing your normal swing.  OK.  POW!  Ripped up the gut.

Same on par 4, and finishing par 5 respectively.

I think I need one.

He wasn't very surprised.  He said he gets that reaction/difference in everyone he has let hit it.

He did make one little comment about out driving him with his own club. 

Funny thing is now I can't find it.    Golfsmith, Austads, Cobra, etc.  I'm guessing it's a year or two old.

LOL  Isn't that the driver that won The Masters in '97?

dys.,  I think it's the second one down.  The red one.  I'll have to look at his again, but it's prob. gotta be that one.  I know it had red on the sole.

I visited the wrong post.  I'm on my 5th driver of the year (Cleveland HiBore XL) & now I'm going to ebay to see what these Cobras are selling for.
