Damn, I think I blew it. I got the player and Heroes for $191 but didn't get anything else. I'll go back tomorrow. Campy, let me know if Matrix and/or Planet Earth float your boat. Or something else. Damn.  Not a problem UB. Planet Earth if you go back, but please don't make a special trip on my part. Looks I may be in Ogden in a couple of weeks, I need to get to Sportsman's Warehouse for a new shanty, so let me know the logistics and what I owe you. Thank you a ton for doing this, I really appreciate it. I'm gathering we can get you two extra box sets so should I get Matrix too? I don't know what else is out there in box to be honest. It's no problem at all. There's no way I can sit here now and let the man get one over on me. I simply MUST go back so let's get you the best deal. Even if you have Matrix already it's probably worth $40-50 in resale value. If you do in fact get the box sets, find something you like for your trouble. If you haven't seen planet earth, there is some awesome footage, and would be worth having. |

Not to piss in anyone's Cheerios, but does anyone actually watch boxed sets of past season television programs?
I can't see myself doing it. We only own 1. I think it's season 2 of 24 I got Karen for Christmas one year. It's still in the plastic.
I keep thinking someday, when it's all said and done, and the whole enchilada of The Simpsons is available in one full package, I would sink the 2500 or so dollars they would be asking for it, but I can't think of any other "show" I would want, let alone actually take the time to sit down and watch.(again)

Hey!!! Who asked you? I'm gonna have Karen kick your ass pretty much.
I watched seasons 1-4 of 24 on DVD. Since I missed Heroes this will work out great for me. It's actually a great way to watch TV shows albeit nowhere near as cheap as catching them the first time around. Awesome not to have to watch nor DVR through commercials.

heroes
2 $35(or less) hd-dvds of your choice
so they owe you at least 2 $35 movies
the whole 'deal' was that for some reason their computers were programmed wrong and zero'd out ANY hd-dvds (including box sets) as long as you scan in the addon and heroes set

Planet Earth at $45 and The Fountain. Also scored a second unit for my children's school auction. Planet Earth and Transformers. Should be able to sell it off for $300 easy being into it $240. |

I didn't know what else to get or what he has already so I picked something I want just in case.   We're going to hook up in Ogden in a few weeks, drink a beer or two and sing shanties.
