lawyers office this afternoon. i am always the first one bitch about people filing lawsuits, but after much soul searching i feel i must. this has been a traumatic experience for me. after 6 weeks i am still in a moderate level of pain everyday. i try my best not to take pain meds on a daily basis, but sometimes i still must. there is some doubt as to whether i will be able to walk correctly again. now that i am on two feet (crutch aided) i am having a lot of problems with my knee, reason as yet unknown. in a matter of 3 seconds, i have been robbed of several months of my life. yesterday was the first time i was able to climb the stairs to my bedroom. i have for all intents and purposes been living in my family room for the last 6 weeks. i missed all of my daughters basketball games this year. the other drivers insurance company is supposed to be paying my wages. as of 6 weeks i have not received a dime. we have been living off my short term disability from work 66% and our savings. so, i have contacted one of the largest law firms in Detroit, (60 lawyers) and hooked up with one that is a specialist in this field, and also a local politician, that oughta be slimey enough.

not exactly what i am after. just want to make sure as problems come up, they are able to be taken care of. after being contacted by her insurance and being told that everything would be taken care of, i couldn't be more disappointed. i was seriously leaning towards chalking it up to a mistake and moving on.

The only thing worse than lawyers is insurance companies, which is the way it should be, but sucks for the customers of either.

My wife was rear-ended (let the jokes begin ) by a drunk driver 6 years ago. After lots of doctors and therapy, she still still has a lot of back and neck pain. The other guy's insurance company settled, but she is still fighting the company we had at the time for medical bills covered by uninsured motorist coverage. Take the bastards for whatever you can, and do not feel bad.
