I wondered about that too. Since when was offsides a dead play? Is this new or have I not been paying attention?

I seem to remember the whistle blows when the defender is "unimpeded" to the QB on offsides. That one was put in the fairly recent past (I think??)

Other than that I'm not aware of other rules changes to offsides.

I went with BUF D instead of CIN D. With the Bills up 14-0, I thought it was going to be a Manning pickfest. But the dumbass Bills let the Gints right back into it.  Angry
