If those keys were set up per QWERTY it would be no different to me from the one I use today so sure, I'd try one. I'm from the era where typing was taught in school. I learned "home row" and how to type with all 10 fingers. There are some women in Blader's secretarial pool that I would put to shame. Fine, a Dvorak Das Keyboard. That would be fun when people come over ...

I would love to install one of those at work for one of my guys. He types with 2 fingers. The index finger on his left hand only hits the a key. The index finger on his right hand does all the rest. He would be absolutely lost!
Now that is an interesting way to type.

I would be interested in trying this as I am not a good typer to begin with, problem I have is at my work I use up to 30 different computers every day. As they all have the standard and I can't change them I would have to be able to do both.

We already covered that. You can just make a script that remaps a QWERTY to Dvorak then run it off a flash drive when you're on other PC's.

And trying to get stuff like that to even work on the ones that I can would be a waste of time due to all the multiple logins by the multiple people....you get my point. At home is one thing but at a major corporation where the IT department has major restrictions, not so much.

I'll bite. It probably wouldn't be that hard but.....
At this stage in the game it seems it would be a great waste of time. The "return on investment" just wouldn't be there. As far as learning new tricks, this is waaaay down the list.
So I take it you wouldn't want a Das Keyboard either? Movado.surrenders

How about off a CD? No CDs on VME bus computers, Robot terminals, dummy terminals, laptops. And I wouldn't carry around one with me where I work. I know you don't understand my job and I am not about to try and explain it. I can't even do it off the network as everything is so restricted. Like I said home is one thing, work I have to use what is there, no alteration possible.
