Anyone using Dvorak over the standard QWERTY layout? Just curious.

Why would I adopt a 'standard', get used to it and then every other place I go struggle with the global standard? You can just make a script that remaps a QWERTY to Dvorak then run it off a flash drive when you're on other PC's.

We're like separated at birth, only very different in a lot of other ways.

It wouldn't be that hard. I'll bite. It probably wouldn't be that hard but..... At this stage in the game it seems it would be a great waste of time. The "return on investment" just wouldn't be there. As far as learning new tricks, this is waaaay down the list.

So I take it you wouldn't want a Das Keyboard either?

So I take it you wouldn't want a Das Keyboard either? If those keys were set up per QWERTY it would be no different to me from the one I use today so sure, I'd try one. I'm from the era where typing was taught in school. I learned "home row" and how to type with all 10 fingers. There are some women in Blader's secretarial pool that I would put to shame.

So I take it you wouldn't want a Das Keyboard either? I would love to install one of those at work for one of my guys. He types with 2 fingers. The index finger on his left hand only hits the a key. The index finger on his right hand does all the rest. He would be absolutely lost!
