Going good.  For the most part.  Thanks for asking.

I know I've been MIA a lot lately.  Been extremely busy at work.  I changed jobs (I'll explain Later)  but even more off the grid while at work than ever before.

Moved into the temporary place with the golf pro and the young kid with golf connections, so that is going good.

As for us, we are pulling the trigger and relocating next month.  I want the girls out here and Maddie settled in and ready to start this up coming school year as as a California resident.  The plan is to rent out our house if it works, or *fudge* it, the bank can have it.  I'll file Deed-in-lieu of paper work.  We're just done with it.

I'm still at the same health system, but left the MRI job/department and returned (after what I'm realizing was a very long 9 year absence) to my real love in medical imaging to Interventional Radiology.  Been great so far.  Nice department, good Doctors, awesome co-workers, etc. etc.    Loving it so much it's most of what excellerated our decision to "cut bait" and reunite out here, close the Minny chapter in our lives and resume living the rest of our life.

OTT  Same ol' Same ol'.  I'm typing one handed as usual.   Wink

OK. Now you get to stick *feces* inside people and look at their innards.  Nice. Thumbs Up But I guess that does mean you have less down time to be surfing with your iPhone. So the work is more stable at this position at least, right?

Indeed.  On every front.   Grin  Glad you Wikkied it.   Smiley

Interventional Radiology really was the Renaissance of my career.  It taught me "medicine".  Made me who I am as a person and as a Radiologic Professional.  I got into CT (cat scan) and MRI for the education (learning the technology and to get the licenses) but I never had any intention of grinding it out for a living.  Problem was once I was into it, and licensed and working it I was far to valuable commodity to walk away from it.  Couple that with the fact that finding a good I.R. department (which only exist in large medical centers) I was stuck.

Well I got tired of beating my head against the wall and the scanner every day and out here I got a great opportunity to jump into a great I.R. lab.  I'm not good at typing long ass multi paragraph *feces* like Clive so I'll suffice to say that I am now back to "scrubbing in (like in the O.R.) and sticking all sorts of sharp things into all different parts of people's bodies.

ergo saving lives, making a difference, being part of a team, et cetera, etc.  Good *feces*, Maynard.

My last case today was a woman stroking, that we put a catheter up in her brain and pulled out the clot.    holy.mother.*goshdarn*.*feces*.

Problem is, being out of it for so long, mixed with the sever brain atrophy I have induce from years of drinking beer being away from it, it is hard getting my balance back on the bike.  But my swing is coming back around.   Cool

LOL   Grin

I'll post a picture of me "scrubbed in" and some of the cool *feces* we do.

The worst part best part of it is;  On July 1st this joint went smoke free on the entire campus.  Today I went 11 hours without a heater.  So, soon to be for good.

Also I'll have to start taking call.  Which means no booze on that day.  Slash (whole *goshdarn* weekend  Shocked Nervous )

They tend to frown on me coming in well lubed.

I already told them I refuse to take call on any of the "drinking" Holidays.  As well as any Sunday or Monday night teh Queens play.

We'll see how that flies.

LOL

HATE!

There should be a YouTube video of my weekend in Vegas.

Jules Transcript:  Punch Balls

  • Mini family reunion.  Mother's side.  Aunts, Cousins, etc.  People I haven't seen in 25+ years.
  • Took 5  plus hours to get there.  Some truck trouble.  Fodder for another thread.
  • Hotel casino about 20 miles off the strip.
  • Lost 200 bucks.
  • *goshdarn* deal was today at 2.  I have to be back here to be at work tomorrow.
  • No booze. (I had beer with me but didn't want to (a) drink a bunch and drive back, and (b) listen to them say 'Are you gonna drink a bunch of beer and drive back?)
  • The drive back.
  • Getting home at *goshdarn* 10:00 at night.
  • Hate!

Actually it wasn't that bad a time.  The drive just sucked.  Both ways.
