Bummer. Yes, shoveling during the big storm of January '93. Had fingerless gloves and hands got cold enough the ring simply fell off my finger. There was easily two feet of snow that day; couldn't go to work and shoveled three times. In the spring I rented a metal detector and went over the whole yard. No luck. Rings were bought on Grafton Street in Dublin on our honeymoon. We used loaners for the ceremony. Had to fly 6000 miles to get a replacement.

Yes, don't know how. I am still alive but am on probation. Have gotten a new one and it is surgically attached.

I can't figure it out either...I played golf yesterday and it was strange because I kept a glove on the whole time (usually I remove to putt)...I haven't lost weight (LMAO) quite the opposite in fact, it's the weirdest thing...It was hot so my hands weren't cold, I did go to the dog park with Oz but I throw with my right hand...just bizarre. I didn't even notice it until midnight last night, and then panic! Actually wife was Ok, she's a good kid, think I'll keep her.

Lost it once while coaching. I had dropped 15 after being sick and it was cold. I walked the entire field and found it out where I had run warm ups for the team.. WHEW!!!!!

[threadjack] I remember that storm well. It was the first time in like 97 years or something that the U actually canceled classes. I remember in some spots snow up to my chest. My '87 Mazda 323 had a tough time with that one. Crazy *feces*. [/threadjack] [on topic]I've never lost my ring, but I'm on my 4th one in 6 years for a variety of reasons. Let's just say she's very forgiving. [/on topic]

I've never lost my ring, but I'm on my 4th one in 6 years for a variety of reasons. Well now I just gotta know? 1st ring: I didn't want gold (just not a gold guy) but she found a good deal on a gold ring and then had it plated with radium (or something like that). Looked good on our wedding day, had half the plating worn off by the end of our honeymoon (and it's not like we went camping or anything). 2nd ring: She bought a white gold ring to replace the original ring (again, another good deal) but it was really skinny, almost feminine (kind of like TFT). I never liked it so I stopped wearing it. 3rd ring: She had me pick out a ring I really liked (tungsten) and I wore it faithfully. Then I lost a bunch of weight and the ring didn't fit anymore and I couldn't keep it on, so I quit wearing it. 4th ring: Titanium, again of my selection. No problems yet, but I wore it to put the new cold air intake on the MINI today and put a couple of new scratches on it, so ring #5 might be on the way.

I never liked it so I stopped wearing it. "She backed up the truck like this... and then she tried to run him down... two times... yeah, two times... ummm... twice, officer" I take mine off ONLY for golf, as otherwise the edge of the ring cuts into the webbing at the base of my ring finger. As you might guess, I'm a smidge anal-retentive about it and have never lost or misplaced it. (I have a carabiner on my golf bag -- the ring goes directly from finger to carabiner I covered that carabiner in heat-shrink tubing to prevent scratches, too. I did say anal-retentive, right?)

Even though I replaced mine I haven't worn it once in over five years.
I think my wife considers the odds of me successfully going astray and lets a sleeping dog lie.

I'm easy(like Sunday morning) #1 Got hitched with. Broken thumb. Cut off in the E.R. Still have it. Used to wear it on a chain, but spacey had an MC Hammer thread a while back, and ever since I read it, I just felt weird. It's on the headboard. #2 Karen picked out. Hated it. (2 snaps up in a circle) Not why it's lost. Freud may disagree, but *fudge* him. Driving to work with my hand out the window (Redneck, well documented. ) Just plain fell off. I went back. Never found it. Columbia heights. Fuzz, back me up on this...........in that neighborhood..........gone. #3 Small simple gold band that restricts circulation, cost $20.00 American. Slim, sleek (gay as TFT wanna be) been in place ever since. I won't replace it.

I think my wife considers the odds of me successfully going astray and lets a sleeping dog lie.
But you know once I start back to school in 2 weeks, what with the heat of the Summer months and the 23 year old femininas, and me putting out that "hey I'm old enough to be your Daddy, that's right who's your Daddy " vibe, I've got nothing to ward them off with.
