OU totally got jobbed by those *bunghole*s. http://www.kfor.com/Globa...=6776753&nav=menu99_4As soon as Stoops confirmed the infractions he kicked Bomar and Quinn off the team. And we self imposed recruiting sanctions allowing only one coach to visit. So what does the NCAA do? The say ok pretend the 8 victories in 2005 didn't exist but those losses did WTF? So Bomar helped us win but not lose. Besides I doubt many coaches would kick their star QB off the team before the NCAA tells them to do so. So in adding to the insult they take away two scholarships the next two years will continuing the sanctions we self-imposed. Oh yeah they also said the Basketball teams infractions added to the result. WTF so Kelvin Sampson is now *goshdarn* us over even more well after he left. What did the football mistakes have to do with the basketball team? They are a total joke. I bet Notre Dame wouldn't get this kind of treatment. Oh well Boomer Sooner. |

I guess that National Championship game will have never existed too. University of MN had to take down their Big 10 Basketball Championship and Final Four banners from the '97-'98 season. Ranked in the top 3 most of the season.........and it magically has disappeared from the record. Funny, the NCAA frowned on kids not going to class and having tutors write papers and such. |

I don't know all the details, but this caught my eye: The impermissible benefits totaled approximately $17,000 in unearned wages and led to the committee finding that the institution failed to monitor the employment of football student-athletes. Since when is it the responsibility of the university to monitor where/when/how its students work?? I believe its also illegal for an employer to share employment information to any outside agency as well, so what was the university supposed to be monitoring anyway?? Is the NCAA trying to usurp Federal Law? I am the Law! |

I heard an Oregon official say they weren't going to change their record. But no mention of last years jobbing so I guess they are keeping that one.

And they have to forfiet the Fiesta BOwl...er..wait..they lost..
Their punishment was weak at best. Who cares if they forfiet games, it doesn't make any difference. Two scholarships? Seriously, like that is going to impact them at all...
No personal offense Walfredo, but get over it...Stoops punished them way more than the NCAA.
