Textbooks rant pt 2

I'm taking Physics, 2nd part in summer school and I need to buy the textbook. $112 new, $78 used...nothing out of the ordinary price-wise. However, I notice the textbook is unusually thin for a college schice course, so I peruse through the chapters, and notice the book starts at chapter 21, ending on chapter 38. Next to it is the textbook for phyiscs part 1. Starting at Chapter 1, ending on chapter 20, also very thin. So they took a normal phyics book, broke it up into 2 books, continued the chapter sequence, and instead of selling one book for $112, they decide to sell TWO books to poor college students for $112 x 2 = $224.   I'm surprised the 2nd book doesn't start on page 285. |

Yea. I didn't buy the book. I have an old one that I used from before I dropped of out college the first time. I just have to photocopy the homework sets. Part 1 was a joke. part 2....i don't like dem elektronz and sircuts and optix  |

I got about as far as the apple on Newton's head. When they pulled out the roller skate, and some other *feces*, I was done. I went in another direction. Well, it was 8th grade after all. |

I've recently been mulling over an offer of the Chancellorship at Univ of Phoenix. What do you mean by that? Is there something you recommend I look into carefully?
