Heading to Applebee's to enjoy some cold libations soon. After a spending 7 hours driving to swap a power supply at a member location some cold brew is in order. Gotta love it, drive 7 hours to do 10 minutes of work.

Enjoy.  I think this notion is not shared by many here but I dig Applebees. Of course, in a bit of a cross-jack here, you can sit at the bar at Utah Applebees and they have to go into another room to get you your beers.  |

I waited tables at Applebees when I was in college. I have subsequently been entirely unable/unwilling to dine there. I did have a pretty special place in my heart for the Brewtus back then, though.
Re: U.B.'s cross-jack- I was under the impression they were now able to pour beer in front of you, but still can't mix cocktails. Perhaps I'm wrong.

Maybe. Not in Layton though. Beer comes from some magical place away from the children's eyes. They do pour in front of you at Famous Dave's bar though so I'd guess it's not a legal thing. |

What do you mean by "pour it in front of you"? They only do that here if you're sitting at the bar. O/W a wait person, just brings you a big glass of beer* *Not big enough, nor nearly fast enough.   |

stroh, I mean there are no taps, no bottles, nothing but soft drinks at the bar. If you order a beer/cocktail off they go to the back.
But it does seem to be local to our Applebees although now I'll be on a quest to see how many others are like it.
