The drinking starts now
« on: December 26, 2007, 04:15:18 PM »

Just got home from work, after having my car towed, AGAIN. Disgusted Angry Angry Sad. Sounds like the timing belt. The other tows involved a Fuel pump and a complete tuneup, both covered by warrantee, but labor charged. I'm off work from now till Saturday afternoon, so the liquor cabinet is going to be emasculated. The Bacardi Select goes first, followed by Wild Turkey 80 proof and 101 proof. The Jagermeister supply will probably be depleted, also, as will the supply of Michelob Ultra and Guinness. I'm fitting in a trip to my mom's house, and, maybe some golf, on Friday, IF the weather holds out. This looks like my best chance to play in December. But if I can't, at least I can drink. Thanks, They told me the timing belt was a bit worn, and it stopped at the top of a hill as I came to a stop, so I can only assume that that is the cause.
Oh well, at least I can drink.
(Always the optimist).

"Thank you for the support" Cheers.
I hate car repairs, too. My daughter's car looks like it needs a starter. (We all live together. This is REALLY a bitch.) Anyway, we'll get by, and life will go on. Fortunately, golf is not too much of an issue at this time of the year. This is a prime time for my sales expertise. I sell fitness equipment, and lawn and garden type stuff. Treadmills have been going well, and we've had enough snow to make snowblowers an easy sell. I hate spending stupid money on my car, but at least I have it to spend.

Looks like a bit of a *humid grotto* drink, to me. But, what do I know. If it's booze, it's good.

BTW,I LOVE martinis.

Interesting. Besides being the year Kentucky was admitted into the Union, 1792 was the year absinthe was invented (in its modern form).
