Infinitive? WTF? (Complaint)

What the hell is this *feces*?  Here I am breezing through 5th Grader. Totally pwning the blonde pregnant chick(although to be fair, she was just a plain idiot), and smoking the comb-over orange farmer, and leaving my wife agape at my Scarecrow like post sheepskin performance. All of a sudden: Bam! 4th grade English. What is the infinitive of the verb "went"?Uh, come again? What the *fudge* is that? I ain't never heard of that. Went? Left? Leaved? Split? Writ Wrat Wrote?  Well, Captain Minute Maid had no idea, and bailed, and lost, so they turned to the son who knew it. Then, Jeff Einsteinworty explains to all of us mouth breathers that it's the simplest form of the verb. e.g. "to go".   A. Who, and when came up with this bull*feces*?, and #2 I can think of a ton of verbs that.....WTF is the infinitive.
