My annual project is about half that.
Quit setting the bar so high. My wife might stumble upon this place.
I'm in the early stages (read: digging post holes and pouring a concrete slab) of building a patio cover and a pergola/trellis entryway into our backyard planting area. I could forward pics to your wife, if you'd like. No photo essay, but here's the finished product. Please to ignore the weeds and debris that surround it, we haven't finished cleaning up the area yet.

No, that's the backyard. We have a very similar rock wall in the front yard too. That looks almost like a torii.
Inspired by, but not an attempt to replicate. Hopefully that's how it comes off.

Very cool spacey! Good stuff. Reminds me (a little) of some garden tuteurs I made a few years ago.

Inspired by, but not an attempt to replicate. Hopefully that's how it comes off. It definitely is more of a subtle influence rather than outright copy, but it's also cool to know that the style was intentional rather than an accident.

lol. Yeah, that one corner got screwed up and I didn't realize it before the concrete set. I have plans to camouflage it.
