First week over

Well my first week in the new position and the new hours. Man what a change. Still only working 4 days a week. MTTF but still seemed like a full week. Anyway looks to be promising. The new guys have liked me in the past when I was not their boss and now that I am they are still fine. In fact one said he was glad I was his boss now as he was a little worried about the old one's abilities, or more importantly his memory.
So far so good too. My boss has only talked to me twice this week which is good because he trusts me to do the job so he can concentrate on other problems (and he has a big one to deal with right now).
I still have some time to observe before I need to take action (if needed). I am hoping the new crew will just take my lead.
Anyhoo, I have a weekend to enjoy, a birthday party for the oldest and Father's day to figure out what we are going to do.

Which reminds me: thanks to whomever posted that DeBeers lawsuit link. Although not at Blader levels, I do shower my wife with diamonds from time to time. Filed the class-action form and ... hoping for cha-ching!
