Has anyone else played Raven TM 201 Muscleback Forged Blade heads on any type of shaft? If so what do you think of them?

Welcome to GolfHos.
I have not played (or seen ) those irons. If you do, let us know how they are.

Thanks for the link spankers. I agree they are sharp. I've always like blades.
Not sure of the question of shafts, as we have discussed and concluded beyond repute, there is no discernible difference.

although I don't own them, i hit the raven blades from 2-3 years ago @ a Golf Galaxy sim. and they had amazingly soft feel . they went pretty far for soft blades, but the one thing i didn't really like was the bounce / shape of the leading edge- they only seemed to favor hitting really sharp descending strikes. maybe they've adjusted these newer models.

I assume the 201 in your topic is meant to be 102i. I have full set 9with the VCT gw/sw on Rifle blanks professionally frequencied out to 5.7 on the Rifle scale. The heads are smallish and the feel is excellent, especially on sweetspot hits. They definitely are players' heads but they aren't butter knives either.Bounce is low but I am not a big divot maker (more sweeper) and I have no trouble hitting these. The shafts are well known for being smooth and mine are exactly that.Ball flight is perfect. They were a small investment and well worth it. Mine are at standard length (39"-3 iron starting point) Having said that, mine are for sale. My back cannot handle steel (weight) anymore and I do not want to reshaft these as I just reshafted my other "babies" with graphite and at 1" overlength to help my posture and ease the pain.. (Maxfli Aussie Blades).

LMAO I noticed spuzz has a set just like that for sale. Ya,welcome jayhole Don't know who you are yet. spuzz? 360? I am neither. Actually I really like the look of those irons, just wish I could hit them. Maybe I should pick up a cheap set of blades to mess around with.

I knew it when I was PM'ing him back shortly after that post. I think I said something that struck a cord. As we were PM'ing each other I knew it was him even though he was maintaining the facade.
But that's OK. I like him anyway.

I see he's still trying to be deceptive with that shafting 1" over standard bull*feces*.
