First album or song you ever heard on a Walkman (cassette for the old farts or CD for you youngsters)?

For me it was Blizzard of Oz going up the Millicent lift at Brighton some time in the 1980-81 ski season.  My friend's cousin had a cassette Walkman and let me borrow it for one run.  I had my own the next day.   Wink

Being a latent convert to using cassettes (was an LP guy) I believe it was.... oh, this is slightly embarassing... Hall and Oates  Embarrassed

I could be wrong - it may have been Journey.

I bought vinyl and recorded to cassette.  I doubt I owned more than 3-4 prerecorded cassettes over 15 years.  Still have all the albums with maybe a dozen plays max on any of them.

Still like Journey.  Hall and Oates freaked me out.    Fear

My first walkman actually was casette tape player.  Not too long after it I got a discman.  But I bet the first song I listened to on it was "Bust a Move" by Young MC.

My mom likes to remind me that records were still in production when I was born.  That said, I don't remember what our first cassette was.  First CD was Life Becomes More Simple, and the first track, which is Worthy of Worship, would have been the first song.  My birthday present in '99. Cheesy

Or wait, I might have listened to some of my cousin's CD's on the way down to Tennessee, but I wouldn't be able to recall any of the titles if that was the case.

Same here - still have most of my LPs, some really good chit, some embarassing chit (moreso than Hall and Oates  Embarrassed ), some I have no idea where they came from.
