... I've developed a rather nasty cold over the last two days. Home sick today. You skip work when you have a cold?! I skip work when I have a cold that's kept me up all night long. Besides, I have a secretary going on vacation tomorrow, and a coworker with a post-surgery/immune-compromised infant, so I decided to do everyone a favor and keep my germs at home.  |

Been there. Done that.  I've been battling some sort of upper respiratory problem for the last week or so. The holiday weekend was almost a complete bust. I couldn't even make it through the front nine over the weekend. I thought I was going to hack up a lung. I saw the Doc on Monday and they gave me 2 nebulizers while I was there. Which helped, but not much. I had chest x-rays and there was some fluid in my lungs, but I haven't had any other symptoms. He sent me home with an inhaler and some steroids(Prednisone). He said I'd have to come back in 2 or 3 weeks and if it hadn't gotten better by then, I'll need more testing. CRIPES!!!! I went to the range yesterday and barely made it through a bucket of balls. This humidity is killing me. |

I went and got a second opinion Monday. I have bronchial pneumonia. The second opinion Doc said it probably started out as bronchitis and I developed pneumonia because I wasn't treated with antibiotics right away. My efing family physician really pisses me off. I can't even walk up one flight of stairs without feeling like I'm going to tip over.
